Sunday was team and again we were the only squad. Overall scoring was lower than yesterday. Very few 200s announced.
The lanes were not as heavily oiled as Premier. I was able to start out with the TNV, but by the 2nd game I was out of my comfort zone and went to the Viper.
Game 1 I had a dutch going through 5, then opened in the 6th a 4-7 I picked off the 4 and wrapped it around the 7. Then it was back to the dutch format for a 184.
Game 2 1st frame missed 7 pin clean the next 5 frames with strikes in the 3rd and 6th. Then I lost it and couldn't get the ball out to target. I realized I wasn't trusting it and my balance arm was down at my side and too controled. After opening the rest of thegame, mostly due to poor first ball hits, I bagged the TNV for game 3.
I found the line right away with the Viper double to start 4 pin spare double. Opens the 6th and 7th (a 6 and a 7) strike spare double and 9 for a 204. A 523 series and 1639 for All Events.
After the 135 game, I didn't let myself get upset. I went over by myself and quietly told myself to dig down and find it. I also used the visualizing to "see" the correct approach and release. I felt it was really important after finding I was not getting the balance arm out like usual.
I was looking over my evaluation of last year's State, what a difference. I still have a long way to go, but am amazed at where it has gone already. When I first started working with Juan, he told me we'd be building a tool box. As I reflect on this year as compared to last year, I see the tool box is filling up with good things.
